Chile

Confederation: CONMEBOL(South America)
Head coach: Marcelo Bielsa
Captain: Claudio Bravo
Group: H

Chile are a team you should watch this summer, if you want to see good, attacking football. 'La Roja' have pace, skill and plenty of goals in their arsenal. They finished 2nd in South American qualifying and only just 1 point behind Brazil. 3-4-3 is the formation they play with, that tells you, they are not a team that will park the bus. Striker Humberto Suazo has an amazing club goal scoring record and has 18 goals in 42 caps for Chile.

Suazo is short and stocky, he has power, strength and is a deadly finisher. If you're looking to bet on the Golden Shoe winner, then seriously consider Suazo as an outside bet. Chile will play with a 3 pronged attack, with Mark Gonzalez and Alexis Sanchez either side of Suazo. Gonzalez and Sanchez have plenty of pace and trickery, they will look to exploit the wings on every occasion.

Midfielder Matias Fernandez will be the supply line for strikers, he has great vision and pin point accuracy from set pieces. Jorge Valdivia will make good viewing with his silky skills and showboating. Carlos Carmona is the only midfielder who is defensive minded, so he may be utilised if a game needs seeing out.
